This ending is also known as “taking the easy way out” and although this ending is not recommended here is how to go about getting to it
The path of least resistance ending is the easiest one to get to without having to complete any additional side content. If you do choose this ending though the game will end with one final cutscene and will contain no epilogue.
If however, you would like to try this ending anyway you will need to follow the following prompts:
- Select any ending option.
- “Could also put this all to rest.”
- “[Toss pills] I know. Exactly what we’re gonna do.
A cutscene with V and Johnny debating the decision will start when choosing to throw the tablets away.
V asserts that even though Johnny disagrees, this is the least “bloody” alternative and that if they took any other course, more people would perish. In agreement to carry out the plan, Johnny and V share their parting remarks, noting that they have each gained from the other and enjoyed their time together.
You’ll soon hear a gunshot as the camera gradually pans out over the city, indicating that V has taken their own life. V’s close pals and potential love interest will all send video messages throughout the credits. As you can expect, V’s pals are shocked and disappointed by the choice and wish a better result had been reached.
This is definitely the saddest ending but if you wish to see how it plays out, it is really easy to achieve.
