The Cathedral of Omens is a location in Remnant 2’s Yaesha region that houses a large metal apparatus. This apparatus can be manipulated in a variety of ways, and it functions as a puzzle with multiple solutions. If you’re having trouble solving the Cathedral of Omens puzzle in Remnant 2, this guide will show you exactly how to approach the metal device.
To begin, it is necessary to understand that the metal apparatus is surrounded by three levers, each of which alters the device in a different way. Here’s an explanation of what those levers do.
- The layer with the triangle and two circles is rotated by the lever at the entrance.
- The layer with two circles is rotated using the lever to the left of the entrance.
- The lever to the right of the entrance rotates the symbol.
Players must now concentrate on using these levers to make specific patterns on the ground beneath the device. To figure out what those patterns are, you can consult a book in the puzzle room’s library, and this is where things get complicated. In fact, using an example is the best way to explain this process, and the Calamity page will be used for that.
All solution images are taken from the ledge in front of the library, and players who don’t want to learn the intricacies of the Cathedral of Omens puzzle can simply match them.
The Calamity:
The Calamity is mentioned on the first text-heavy page of the book, and there is a triangle at the top. This triangle can also be seen above the door across from the puzzle room’s entrance, and solving the Calamity page will unlock it. The Ravager, Death, and Doe are also mentioned on the Calamity page, and they can view the symbols that correspond to those “actors” by flipping to the left.
Players can now focus on solving the puzzle by completing the following requirements:
- When viewed from across the room, the triangle shadow matches the triangle above the door.
- The Ravager, Death, and Doe all have circle shadows around them.
- According to the book, death is located above the triangle.
To meet those requirements, Remnant 2 players should start by rotating the triangle shadow with the lever at the entrance until it matches the triangle above the door across the room. To be clear, the triangle will now point to the left, and the two attached shadow circles will be directly across from one another.
Because the positions of those two shadow circles are fixed, players will understand that two actors must be moved into them. Fortunately, the Ravager and Doe symbols are also directly across from one another; use the lever to the right of the entrance to move the Doe to the position at the puzzle room’s entrance. As a result, the Ravager will be in front of the Calamity door and Death will be above the triangle, as required.
All that remains is to use the lever to the left of the door to cast a circle shadow around Death. Notably, this movement will also create a second circle around the Doe, and you will be able to pass through the door and collect the Faith Seed Crafting Material once it is complete.
The Blood Moon:
The Blood Moon door is on the right side of the puzzle room, and it is opened in a similar manner.
The following are the requirements that fans should strive to meet, and they will find two Chests beyond the door:
- When viewed from across the room, the triangle shadow matches the triangle above the door.
- The Moon, Ravager, and Sun all have circle shadows around them.
- The Ravager is located beneath the triangle.
When a Blood Moon is active, there is a trap door in front of the chests that can be opened by solving the Calamity door puzzle in Remnant 2.
The Hope:
The players entered the puzzle room through the Hope door. While this door is already open, fans of co-op games can fulfill the following requirements to make a pedestal with the Sagittarius Long Gun appear in the center of the room:
- When viewed from across the room, the triangle shadow matches the triangle above the door.
- The shadows of the Doe, Life, Sun, and Ravager are surrounded by circle shadows.
- Life and the Sun are located beneath the triangle.
