To obtain the material, players must follow the steps below:
Play through the campaign mode until you reach Root Earth. Please keep in mind that it must be a POST-DLC run; if you finished the campaign before the DLC, it will not work.
With the Ethereal Manor Event, you can go on an adventure. Use the Liquid Escape or Fruit of Death to finish it. You must not die from now on in order to obtain Anguish. If you do, you will have to start over from the beginning.
Ward 13 is where you’ll find a Dran. He can be found near the Ward Gate, which Ford takes you to at the beginning of the game. Speak with him. This Dran will now have to be found in multiple locations.
Go to Yaesha, which must have the Red Throne area. Talk to him again down the right building, past the two elite pan soldiers.
Return to the Labyrinth and look for him again; this time, he’ll be on top of the bridge behind the big portal. (Teleport to the checkpoint for Fractured Ingress).
Reroll a N’erud adventure that includes the Forgotten Prison section. Just before Tal’Ratha’s boss fight, speak with the Dran in the chamber. To get to The Eon Vault, you must first complete the first dungeon.
In Root Earth, go to the Ashen Wasteland checkpoint. You’ll have to track down Dran again. This time, he can be found by the fence after the trainyard siege.
Restart a Losomn adventure at Marrow Parish. Continue until you reach the Tormented Asylum, where you will find the dran, he will be in the opposite corner of the checkpoint, down the small corridor. Speak with him to obtain Dran’s Dream.
To travel to the Forgotten Null, use the Dran’s Dream. There you can obtain the Occult Vessel material. If you want, you can speak with Dran one last time.
Return to Ward 13 and speak with McCabe. She can make Anguish with the Occult Vessel.
