Activision has severed all ties with voice actor Jeff Leach following the resurfacing of sexist and misogynistic remarks.

In 2019, Jeff Leach voiced “Ghost” in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, but Activision has decided to break all ties with the voice actor after even more sexist and misogynistic remarks by him have resurfaced.

Jeff Alexander Leach is a British actor that has worked as a television and TV reporter, he appeared in such films as “The smoke” and “London Town” and maybe is most well known for his stint as Simon “Ghost” Riley in Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare.

Leach has been called out for his Misogynistic hate speech before, being banned from Twitch in 2017, and this time it seems Activision has taken heed and cut all ties with him according to Charlieintel. This after a montage of his “hate speech” resurfaced on Twitter.

Activision announced their decision on the 9th of May 2021 to cut all ties with Jeff leach who voiced “Ghost” in the popular Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

“Ghost” is one of the most iconic characters in the franchise, a main character in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and is a playable character in Modern Warfare and Warzone. Leach signed on to become the voice of “Ghost” in 2019 but it seems Activision has decided against working with him in any way in the future following all this negative media attention.

One notable event was when the popular streamer “ZombiUnicorn” declined appearing on a talk show where Leach would be present. ZombiUnicorn was still mentioned in the show with some choice hateful words by Leach himself.

After the hateful clip was resurfaced online, ZombiUnicorn called for action for Activision and Facebook Gaming against the voice actor.

Activision issued a statement saying: “Sexism has no place in our industry, our games, or in society. Activision is no longer working with Jeff Leach. We strongly condemn these remarks. We are committed to delivering a fun and safe experience for all players.”

It is not certain yet if Activision will completely cut “Ghost” or just revoice the character going forward. What is certain is that in 2021, an increasing number of people are standing up to bullying of any sort, and Jeff Leach’s behavior has no place in our modern society.
