The three games available for October certainly didn’t satisfy the player-base.
So it’s safe to say that the trio of PS Plus games for October 2021 hasn’t gone down all that well with subscribers.
The list included the PS5 title, Hell Let Loose, and two PS4 titles, PGA Tour 2K21 and Mortal Kombat X.
Mortal Kombat X is where the main issue has come in; with subscribers saying that they feel insulted with what’s been handed to them. They’re questioning the choice of availability for Mortal Kombat X instead of the meatier Mortal Kombat XL that has additional content, their argument is that it’s essentially the same game, just much more worth it.

“Pretty insulting to give us X and not XL when the game is so old and most people who like fighting games would have already bought it or 11 by now but eh, it could be a much worse pick.” – Terenigma, on Reddit.
“Ridiculous. This game is literally 6-7 years old-ish. Not only that, they gave us standard edition which is a bigger insult! The game is good, is just, they could have given more complete edition of it.” – Reddit User
On the upside, if you have already redeemed your Mortal Kombat X then you can claim some extra content for it. It’s definitely no MK XL but we’ll take what we can get for it.
Sony did come up with a solution to make up for the disappointment, well, partly anyway. They added Castlevania: Requiem to the list…the catch? For some reason, Sony decided that it will be regionally exclusive to Asia. Guys, could we Westerners please get something too?
Get over here! Here are your October PS Plus games, starting from 5 Oct:
