In space, no one can hear you scream
Alien Isolation is by far one of the best space survival horrors to date, despite it being released way back in 2014. I have been a huge fan of the Alien franchise for as long as I can remember and I couldn’t be happier with this decision for a mobile port. The only real “issue” I might have is that in a general sense, I’m not a huge fan of mobile gaming purely based on the fact of comfort and “ease” of play.
It consistently keeps you alert and provides a level of immersion that few games do. It is already available on PS3, PS4, backward compatible with PS5, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch, and PC; and is now being launched for mobile. It will be available for both Android and iOS.

What Is Alien Isolation?
Alien Isolation is an FPS stealth-survival-horror game that takes place between the 1979 science-fiction film Alien and the 1986 sci-fi Aliens.
You play as Amanda Ripley, daughter of Ellen Ripley, who is in constant search for answers following the disappearance of her mother that came with the self-destruction of the USCSS Nostromo set by Ellen in an attempt to destroy the Xenomorph that was on board. This search leads to Amanda being offered a chance to be on the team who is being sent on board the decommissioned Sevastopol space station to retrieve a flight recorder that was found; the very one that was of the Nostromo.

Needless to say, things have gone very wrong aboard Sevastopol station and of course, you can expect to encounter not only human enemies but also rogue androids and the Xenomorph; with a couple of other surprises along the way.

The mechanics of the game are great. It offers an awesome balance of necessity for stealth as well as run-and-gun, with the constant feeling of impending doom, whether it be due to the androids or the Alien (the human enemies feel like the least of your problems. That is until they decide to attack you, which results in noise, which then attracts the Alien.) Yes, one of the best parts is the fact that noise actually does make a difference in the game, although it’s not only in-game sounds that do so. There is a setting that allows you to make use of the mic so that even real-world sound is picked up, which can really screw you over.

The Alien also starts to learn your play-style, so don’t get too comfortable with thinking that you can eternally outsmart the Xenomorph. Other lifeforms are smarter than us, even if video games.
Of course, there’s crafting and various weapons, upgradable tools to help you progress, and you will even encounter a few friendly faces as you explore Sevastopol.

Alien: Isolation Mobile
So not that my current mobile device will handle it very well (yes, it’s okay not to always have the latest and greatest technology), but Sega is bringing one of the exceptional games to mobile – and again yes, I am slightly biased with saying it’s “exceptional” because this game is wonderful. Not only is the game getting a mobile port, but supposedly so “without compromise”, all-inclusive of the base games as well as each of the seven DLC packs.

Everything from the narrative, visuals, and atmosphere are being replicated as faithfully it possibly can be for the full experience on mobile. The game will also be fully customizable according to your play style and have gamepad support.
“Alien: Isolation on mobile offers a mesmeric action-adventure on a damaged labyrinthine space station, lightyears from Earth. The stunning AAA visuals, arresting narrative and terrifying atmosphere of Creative Assembly’s award-winning sci-fi masterpiece have been faithfully replicated for phones and tablets. This is the complete survival horror experience brought to mobile without compromise.
Sega announcement
Tailored for touchscreen play and using a bespoke, fully customizable interface, Alien: Isolation allows players to fine-tune the game to their own playing style, with gamepads also supported. All seven DLC packs are included with this release, such as Last Survivor and Crew Expendable.”
