“The Servers Are Ass, They Run Like Ass, And Their Stability Is Ass”

Jeremy Stieglitz, CEO of Studio Wildcard, has admitted that the multiplayer servers for Ark: Survival Ascended are a complete “ass.”

During Studio Wildcard’s recent Extra Life charity stream, the company’s co-founder stated, “The servers are ass. They run like ass. And their stability is ass.”

Ark Survival Ascended will have vast open world areas

Survival Ascended’s servers, according to the executive, will be improved over time. “We need to work on it. “It will be improved,” he said. Survival Ascended is an Unreal Engine 5 remake of the original Ark. It was released in October for the PC (via Early Access) and in November for the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.

The PC edition on Steam has a “mixed” aggregate review score, with many criticizing the game’s performance and server issues. Despite the problems, Studio Wildcard’s parent company, Snail, Inc., announced that the game sold 600,000 copies in its first two weeks.

During the stream, Studio Wildcard also confirmed that the DLC Scorched Earth, which was supposed to be released in December, has been pushed back to March 2024, according to Gamingbolt.

In addition to Survival Ascended, Studio Wildcard is working on Ark II, which will star Fast & Furious star Vin Diesel.
