Yesterday we wrote a teaser article showcasing Ubisoft’s Digital artist Boss Logic Live-streaming his journey through the creation of the setting for the new Assassin’s Creed title.
Well the news is now official. The title has been revealed to be “Valhalla”.
This new Viking themed game has been unveiled along with the announcement of a world premiere cinematic trailer that will be debuting on YouTube at 5 pm South-African time (GMT +2) on the 1st of May.
After the Live stream yesterday, we got a full “setting” image along with two in-game scenes. One showing Viking longboats against a Norwegian fjord, and the other showing Viking raiders attacking a medieval-looking castle.
The main character looks to be a quintessential Viking complete with a long beard and fur-lined armor, wielding a menacing axe with the assassin’s creed logo etched into it.
We are really hoping for a rich story-line steeped in Norse mythology.
