The Awesome Games Done Quick 2021 event is around the corner and this year it will look quite different due to the Pandemic.
Due to the Covid-19 outbreak keeping most of us confined to our homes, numerous events have been forced to go online and Awesome Games Done Quick is no different. The 2021 Awesome Games Done Quick event will be done entirely online in 2021.
The event will run from the 3rd of January 2021 to the 10th, and this time all proceeds will go to The Prevent Cancer Foundation.
There will reportedly be over 170 speed runs for the week of the event, that’s over 147 hours of runs. . These range from massive AAA titles to lovable little indie titles and everything in between.

- BPM: Bullets Per Minute
- Resident Evil 5
- Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
- Divinity: Original Sin 2
- Celeste
- Ratchet & Clank (2016)
- Final Fantasy VII
- Spyro Reignited Trilogy: Spyro 3 Year of the Dragon
- Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions
- Silent Hill 3
- Serious Sam: The First Encounter
- Resident Evil: Director’s Cut

Usually, these speedruns are performed in-person in front of a massive crowd, so going all online definitely changes the feel of the event. There will be a studio portion to keep things flowing between runs Despite the pandemic set back though.
The SGDQ (Summer Games Done Quick)event that happened this year managed to raise an impressive $2,334,873 for Doctors Without Borders.
The funds raised for the 2021 event will undoubtedly be similar if not higher than those of 2020, which will immensely benefit The Prevent Cancer Foundation.
