New details have been released for the highly anticipated upcoming First-Person Shooter including numerous new features that will be included.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War was revealed within Warzone today along with details on campaign features via a trailer on VG247.
The game is set in 1981 and will feature a conspiracy theory where “conspiracy and subterfuge”, will make up the Singleplayer campaign.
Your character will come across historic figures and learn some “hard truths” as you battle across areas in East Berlin, Turkey, Vietnam, Soviet-era Moscow, and numerous others. Your goal throughout the game is to stop a plot “decades in the making” as you follow Perseus who is on a secret mission to tip the balance of power and change the course of history.
Features will include the ability to bring various Cold War Weapons and equipment into the next-gen combat with new zombies to experience as well.
The game will feature Cross-Play across current and next-gen systems. As well as cross-progression across all modes.
The game will offer a new Battle Pass system and free post-launch content, including multiplayer maps and modes, zombie experiences, and in-game community events.
Warzone players will also still have access to all of Modern Warfare content including Operators and Weapon Blueprints previously earned.
You can now create your own character and the choices you have made will affect you as you progress through the game.
Some options will affect your gameplay in more than just a physical way for example your “paranoid” psychological profile will cut your aiming time in half. Being a lone wolf will allow you to sprint for a longer period.
Even your dialogue options will affect the outcome of your game.
There are three editions that will be available for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, namely the Standard edition, a Cross gen bundle, and an ultimate edition.
Pre-orders are now available from the PlayStation Store, The Microsoft Store, and Battle.net.
The Standard Edition will set you back R1011,90 and comes with the base game.
The Cross-Gen bundle will cost you R 1180,58 and will allow you to download the next-gen version at no extra cost to you. When you pre-order any of the digital editions you will receive early access to the beta
The Ultimate Edition will run at a cost of R 1517,93 and will also include the next-gen version for free at launch. This edition includes early access to the Open Beta, Operator Frank Woods, and an assault rifle Weapon Blueprint for immediate use in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone. As well as the Land, Sea and Air pack, three operator skins, three vehicle skins, three weapon blueprints, and a battle pass bundle which includes 1 season Battle Pass + 20 Tier skips.
The game itself will be released on the 13th of November this year and there will be so much to look forward to in the way of gameplay and new features that you won’t be able to resist getting your very own copy.
