Call Of Duty’s latest season has been delayed for a few weeks much to the disappointment of fans.
Call Of Duty fans has been anticipating the new season for a while now. It seems they will have to wait a little longer as the new season patch has been delayed by a few weeks.
The new season is now set to be launched on the 15th of February rather than the previously expected date of the 1st of February.
Activision made the announcement yesterday via Twitter. Along with the news that when it becomes available, the season patch will include significant upgrades to both Warzone 2.0 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
Activision has said that their team has been “making several changes based on what we have heard from our player community.”
Resurgence and a minor new map for Warzone 2, as well as Ranked Play and new maps, modes, and weaponry for MW2, are all part of the latest release.
Activision has actually been forced to postpone a new Call of Duty game’s second season for the second year in a row due to scheduling concerns, as Call of Duty-specific Twitter account Charlie Intel notes.
The release date for Call of Duty: Vanguard season 2 was postponed from the 2nd of February to the 14th of February of last year; this year’s Modern Warfare 2 postponement follows a strikingly similar pattern.
Although Activision and its production teams do not formally announce start dates in advance, the battle pass for the current season gives us a very solid indication.
As this is a developing story and no hard and fast announcements have been made yet. We will be keeping our eyes and ears out for any scrap of news regarding the new season of this highly popular Battle Royale.
