An impressive new trailer has confirmed the release date for the New Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Activision and Infinity Ward have confirmed the release date for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 as the 28th of October this year with a tweet and an amazing artwork reveal trailer.

In this trailer, you will see the main operator’s players will get to utilize as striking images on the sides of containers. The containers then come together with the cargo ship to form the key art for the game.

Unlike the grey skeletal look of the first Modern Warfare this time they have added a shocking lime green to the image to give it that extra punch.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was announced earlier this year and will be a sequel to the 2019 reboot of the game. The details that have been released thus far suggest that the game will centre around U.S. Special forces fighting the Colombian drug cartel.

In the description for the video, it states:

“Task Force 141 makes its massive return with a global squad of iconic veterans, these Operators include Captain John Price,  Simon “Ghost” Riley, John “Soap” MacTavish, Kyle ‘Gaz’ Garrick, and introducing Mexican Special Forces Colonel Alejandro Vargas”.

On the Call Of Duty website, there was a short blog post that stated:”

Task Force 141 makes its massive impact and presence known across the Port of Long Beach, thanks to a colossal reveal on an unprecedented scale. A global squad of iconic veterans and new legends of yet untold clandestine missions, these Operators are set to deliver a new era of Call of Duty when Modern Warfare® II releases on October 28, 2022. .

Over the course of 24 hours, a team maneuvered a massive cargo ship containing a Modern Warfare II wrap displaying the enigmatic Task Force 141 Operative Ghost on its storage containers and docked at the port that contained another MWII image, completing the giant puzzle.

As the docking took place, drone footage captured the ship’s movement in its entirety while also revealing some initial key announcements for the game – including artwork revealing a first look at Task Force 141’s additional members and the release date of Modern Warfare II on October 28, 2022.”

Following Microsoft’s takeover of Activision Blizzard, it was reported that the 2023 Call of Duty game would be released in 2024 and that the series would no longer be an annual franchise. It is reported though that Activision Blizzard is committed to keeping the next three Call Of Duty games multiplatform.

The video and its accompanying news will be an exciting tidbit for fans of the franchise who have chomped at the bit for some news and in the words of the developers, for now, fans should “stay frosty”.
