The Cyberpunk 2077 Developer has denied rumours of another delay saying that the 10th of December is still a solid release date.

Recently the Gaming world was hit with the news that the highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 would be delayed …again. This time the new release date was set to the 10th of December 2020.

When confronted about the rumour a representative of CD Projekt Red said “As a rule, we don’t comment on rumors or speculation. But I will confirm we were just taking time to update all of our assets to reflect the new launch date of December 10th.”

It seems the original source of the rumors could be a post on ResetEra that mentioned how the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account removed the game’s release date from its header image, this, of course, caused many fans to become worried and expect yet another delay for the game in the not so distant future.

Another possible source of this rumour could be this tweet that came from an account that has been known to have previous accurate predictions, such as the cancellation of E3 nearly a week before it happened.

The actual source of the rumour is irrelevant. The fact is that the gaming community is on tenterhooks regarding Cyberpunk 2077’s release date seeing as we have been disappointed by CD Projekt Red before. Especially after they assured us of “ no more delays” just a couple of weeks before the last delay.

It seems the Twitter account that helped facilitate the rumour is just as unconvinced as many others are.

All that can be done now is to wait and see if CD Projekt Red keeps to their word this time as this is one of the most anticipated games in recent history and has many gamers waiting with bated breath for the result.
