CD Projekt Red Shares Updates On The Witcher 4 And Cyberpunk 2

CD Projekt Red Updates: The Witcher 4 in Full Swing, Cyberpunk 2 (Project Orion) in Early Development, Emphasis on Sustainable Practices

In an interview with Aftermath, Paweł Sasko, the associate director of the Cyberpunk sequel, shed light on the progress of both The Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2, revealing that The Witcher 4 is currently in intensive development.

Sasko mentioned that while some of the Cyberpunk 2077 team has transitioned to The Witcher 4, Cyberpunk 2, also known as Project Orion, is still in its early stages of production. He emphasized that the development team for Cyberpunk 2 comprises well-trained individuals who previously worked on Phantom Liberty, ensuring a smooth transition.

Moreover, Sasko noted that most managers and directors from Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantom Liberty are now focused on Cyberpunk 2, highlighting the studio’s commitment to preserving the DNA of the franchise. This approach aims to maintain continuity and quality across the sequel.

Reflecting on Cyberpunk 2077’s rocky launch, Sasko stressed the importance of avoiding crunch and embracing sustainable production methods. CD Projekt Red has shifted away from old-fashioned practices to prioritize sustainability, ensuring the well-being of its team members while delivering high-quality games.

As CD Projekt Red continues to work on multiple projects simultaneously, fans can anticipate updates on both The Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2 in the coming months.
