Because Battlefield 2042’s new release date could potentially take the spotlight from Century: Age Of Ashes, the latter has been pushed back to a later date to avoid this.
Century: Age Of Ashes, the free to play multiplayer action title played on the backs of dragons would have been released only one day before the new release date for Battlefield 2042 on the 18th of November and therefore Playwing LTD has made the decision to move the release date to two weeks later.
The news of the delay was announced via a Tweet on the developer’s official Twitter page:
Dragoneers, we have an announcement for you!📣 #PlayCentury pic.twitter.com/KD5ZHs9JPS

In the tweet, they explained the reason for the delay as such: “Last week we learned that one of the most anticipated games of the year postponed its launch to one day after our planned release date. As a consequence, we have decided to postpone the launch of Century: Age Of ashes to December 2nd to give it space.”
The flight-based PVP is highly anticipated by many and as such this news will come as somewhat of a disappointment to those eagerly awaiting its release.
The official Steam overview of Century: Age Of Ashes states:
“Compete in intense online games and discover the fast-paced gameplay of Century: Age of Ashes! Dive into the arena alone or with friends and fight for your survival! Three varied game modes ranging from 3v3 to 6v6 await you: Carnage and Gates of Fire.”

In this upcoming game, players will be able to “Experience different play styles with 3 unique classes, each with their own abilities! Shield and disorient as the Windguard, track and destroy as the Marauder, or stealth and trap as the Phantom.”
The game will be fully free to play, with in-game purchases mainly cosmetic, and battles will be won solely on the basis of ability and teamwork.
There will also be the option to fully customize your character with prestigious gear and legendary dragons. As you go through the game, you’ll have more opportunity to customize your class characters and dragons as you acquire levels.

There will be three playstyles to choose from namely: SKELDIN WINDGUARD, NAERDOR PHANTOM, and the SVARD MARAUDER. To find out more about these and their attributes you can visit the official site.
Despite the fact that fans will be disappointed by the delay, which is solely due to the developer’s desire to avoid the game being overshadowed by Battlefield 2042, the delay will undoubtedly give the developers more time to address any issues that may have arisen, resulting in an even better end product for fans.
Century: Age Of Ashes has been postponed until December 2nd, which isn’t too long to wait for this intriguing new dragon-based PvP that will undoubtedly capture the imaginations of all who play it.
