The gift that keeps on giving! As always Xbox steps up to bring us some of the latest and greatest titles.

August has arrived, bringing with it a slew of new games for Xbox Game Pass subscribers to enjoy. Xbox has released ten games that will be coming to Game Pass in August so far. Ten games with different varied genres for everybody’s taste. Roguelike action, RPG Dodgeball, surreal action, indie riddles, and strategy base building are all included.

Alternatively, you can shift gears and engage in some Skating and even more Skating, or climb into a god-like rogue-like dungeon crawler before jumping into the driver’s seat for some racing and ultimately some good old solitaire.

Curse of the Dead Gods (Cloud, Console, and PC) (5th of August):

You seek untold riches, eternal life, divine powers – it leads to this accursed temple, a seemingly-infinite labyrinth of bottomless pits, deadly traps, and monsters. Collect mystical Relics and an arsenal of weapons to make yourself unstoppable.

Battle through hordes of enemies in dark, cavernous passages filled with traps and secrets of all sorts – fire-spewing statues, explosives, hidden spikes, and worse. Corruption builds in you with every step – encourage or ignore it, but each powerful curse can be a double-edged sword. Your greed will lead you to death, but that is not an escape. Rise to fight again. Delve deeper again. Defy the malignant deities that linger in this place.

Dodgeball Academia (Cloud, Console, and PC) (ID@Xbox) (5th of August):

In a world where dodgeball is life, you join Otto at the academy and train to become the ultimate dodgeball champion. Across eight episodes, you’ll forge friendships and create rivals, all in the name of developing the best dodgeball team. Level up Otto and develop a dynamic team across a vast and customizable party progression system.

All the while, explore the vast Dodgeball Academia and uncover the long hidden truths that reside within the very walls you live, learn, and dominate in.

Katamari Damacy Reroll (Cloud, Console, and PC) (5th of August):

The stop-at-nothing pushing prince is back and ready to reroll! When the King of All Cosmos accidentally destroys all the stars in the sky, he orders you, his pint-sized princely son, to put the twinkle back in the heavens above. Join the King and Prince of Cosmos on their wacky adventure to restore the stars – now in full HD! The beloved roll-em-up game returns with fully updated graphics, completely recreated cutscenes, and in full HD!

Lumines Remastered (Cloud, Console, and PC) (ID@Xbox) (5TH of August):

LUMINES REMASTERED brings minimalism to the puzzle genre where the fusion of light and sound sets the stage for a two-color falling block experience in HD and 4K. Groove to electronic jams while strategically dropping blocks before the BPM bar sweeps combos clean after each measure.

Skate (Console) (EA Play) (5th of August):

is a skateboarding video game for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and mobile phones. The story in Skate. is that you are a skater that has to rise up to be the best. You have to complete a variety of challenges like photo shoots, videos, and magazine covers.

The player controls a custom skateboarder from a horrific crash, he then gets to a hospital where he had plastic surgery to change his appearance. Skating challenges are scattered around the city from Pros. If the player gets more coverage he may unlock the X Games.

Skate 3 (Cloud) (EA Play) (5th of August):

Starmancer (Game Preview) (PC) (ID@Xbox) (5th of August):

After a catastrophe on Earth, humanity launches the Starmancer Initiative in a desperate attempt to seek refuge among the stars. Millions of refugees upload their consciousness into your memory banks–entrusting their minds and the future of the human race to an Artificial Intelligence, a Starmancer.

To you. Stranded in a strange solar system, your task as a Starmancer is to construct and manage a space station capable of sustaining life for the countless minds trapped in your corrupted memory banks, and return to the fleet–by any means necessary.

Starmancer offers gameplay with consequences, a living sandbox environment, crafting, and managing the daily lives of colonists. Create a utopian society where everyone is well fed, happy, and safe. Or go rogue and figure out how many times a colonist can eat wheat before they go crazy. The choice is yours!

Art of Rally (Cloud, Console, and PC) (ID@Xbox) (12th of August):

art of rally is a stylized experience inspired by the golden era of rally from the creator of Absolute Drift Race across the world through colorful and stylized environments in top-down view. Compete for first place in the leaderboards with daily and weekly challenges.

Will you master the art of rally? Experience the golden era of rally in Career mode, travelling across 60 stages from Finland to Sardinia, Norway, Japan, and Germany. Get behind the wheel of your favorite vintage cars, ranging from the ’60s to the ’80s, Group B, Group S, and Group A.

From beginner-friendly options to driving modes that’ll challenge the most expert drivers, all players can tackle the races using their favorite rally driving tricks: Scandinavian flick, counter steering, left foot braking, handbrake turns. Get your name out at the top of the Leaderboard in our daily and weekly challenges. Show off your driving skills, or simply your favourite landscapes, with the integrated Photo and Replay mode.

Hades (Cloud, Console, and PC) (ID@Xbox) (13th of August):

What is Xbox Game Pass?

Xbox Game Pass is a game subscription service hosted by Microsoft. Being a valid subscription holder gives you access to a massive library of games. There are new games joining Xbox Game Pass regularly.

If the game supports it, you can play it on our Xbox One/ Xbox Series console, or Windows 10, last but not least, Android devices can also enjoy the supported games via xCloud. 

Xbox Game Pass also gives subscription holders a number of other perks. There are numerous perks that subscription holders have access to, however, some are only available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
