Cultic, which debuts on the 13th of October this year, is the action horror game we didn’t know we needed
Cultic is an upcoming Action, FPS with a dark theme that will have you “Crawl from your grave and gear up to fight your way through the ranks of a mysterious and twisted cult.
The game was announced earlier this month and it is being developed by Jasozz Games and Published by 3d Realms.
Players in Cultic will assume the character of a detective whose reputation has taken a hit. He is frantically looking for information on a cult with a genuinely terrifying tale in hopes of eventually bringing them down in order to save himself and the world.
The announcement trailer, which was released on the 16th of September, shows brief gameplay clips with lots of gore, blood, and guts as you blast your way through several adversaries and cultists and progress through the plot to uncover the truth.

Chapter One of Cultic will be available on Steam from the 13th of October and Steam’s official overview of the game states:
“CULTIC gives you the freedom to approach combat your way. You can run in guns blazing, running, jumping, sliding, and dodging to keep out of harm’s way. If you prefer a slower approach, you can lay traps, let your enemies come to you, and pick them off from the safety of cover.
Maybe you prefer to weave in between your foes, leading their attacks towards each other, and turning them against one another. With a full arsenal of mid-century firearms and explosives, you’ll be well equipped to slaughter everything in your path – provided you don’t get slaughtered first.”
As far as gameplay goes Cultic’s combat is swift and lethal. A few well-placed bullets can rapidly eliminate both you and your opponents from the game. You will have to fight your way across cult territory, be mobile, take shelter, and use your armament intelligently to ensure your survival.
The game will not entirely be episodic. Although it will have a second chapter that will wrap up the plot. This chapter will be a free update and available after launch.
The system requirements aren’t very hefty as this is not a AAA title.
The Minimum and Recommended System Requirements are the same and are as follows:
- Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
- OS: Windows 7
- Graphics: 8GB
