CD Projekt Red has decided to give us some free DLC when Cyberpunk 2077 is released later this year.

After a Tweet from a Cyberpunk 2077 fan, CD Projekt Red has decided to give us some free DLC for this highly anticipated role-playing game.

The tweet as you can see asks if the game will receive free DLC as the Witcher did, well it seems they listened and responded.

As in the past CD Projekt Red has always gone out of there way to make a big-deal about post-game support, remember the free Enhanced Editions for both The Witcher and The Witcher 2 owners post release?

At the time CD Projekt Red’s co-founder Marcin Iwinski in his enthusiasm stated: “I would really like to see such initiatives become an industry standard rather than an exception to the general rule, and I hope that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has set a good example.”

Cyberpunk 2077 To Have Free DLC

Cyberpunk 2077 will in all likelihood have paid DLC as well, that hopefully like the Witcher’s Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions will be relatively cheap.

So yes, CD Projekt Red has confirmed the free DLC but hasn’t explained in anymore detail than that. We surmise that the free content will come in the form of different outfits for Jackie, or perhaps an extra side quest to take on during your second playthrough.

There a few tidbits that have come to light regarding gameplay of Cyberpunk 2077. Namely, it will be possible to do “Pacifist Runs”, meaning you don’t have to actually kill anyone if that’s not your thing. Also, you will be able to finish the entire game without actually completing the main quest if you so wish.

It’s safe to say that the entire gaming community is on tenterhooks awaiting the scheduled November release date of Cyberpunk 2077 and all the secrets that will be revealed post-launch. We will be bringing our side and keep you up to date with the latest Cyberpunk 2077 news as it happens.
