Days-Gone-System-Specifications-Announced

Many fans are awaiting the release of Days Gone for PC, well while we wait, here are the newly announced System Specifications.

For those who aren’t familiar with the game. Days Gone is an open-world action-adventure set in a harsh wilderness two years after a devastating global pandemic. It was a former PS4 exclusive but is coming to PC this year.

Steam describes the game so eloquently. “Step into the dirt flecked shoes of former outlaw biker Deacon St. John, a bounty hunter trying to find a reason to live in a land surrounded by death. Scavenge through abandoned settlements for equipment to craft valuable items and weapons, or take your chances with other survivors trying to eke out a living through fair trade… or more violent means.”

The steam page has also stated that the PC version will feature ultra-wide monitor support, unlocked framerates, and improved graphics.

Luckily the system requirements won’t be terribly taxing.

Days Gone minimum system requirements:

Days Gone System Specifications Announced

When Eurogamer asked Digital Foundry chief Richard Leadbetter why the game requires an SSD for storage he explained it like this:

“Days Gone is a pretty demanding open-world game that required some pretty intense optimization from Bend Studio to improve streaming performance on PS4 and PS4 Pro, so a blanket recommendation for an SSD for the PC version does make sense – particularly in a world where the developer would have no idea what kind of hard-drive you’re using or what its state of health is. On PS4, while the HDD is slow, there is a certain level of guaranteed performance. On a more general level, I’d recommend running all PC games from SSD – it’s a huge quality of life improvement!”

So in a nutshell, the system specifications won’t be extremely burdensome but you will need an SSD if you want the best from the game.

The PC version of Days Gone will be released in the next few months if all goes according to plan.
