The system requirements for Dead Island 2 have been made public with just a short time left before its release.
Dambuster Studios has been developing Dead Island 2 for a while now and it has become a highly anticipated title.

We now finally have the system specifications for the game to chew on just short of the game’s much-awaited release.
Dead Island 2 is the third installment in the Dead Island universe and is set about ten years after the events of Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide.
By taking place in quarantined Los Angeles, which has been affected by the zombie epidemic, the latest installment sets itself apart from its predecessors.

Dead Island 2 Official Game Trailer:
The FAQ for Dead Island 2 oddly states that it “does not support performance-boosting software,” despite the fact that it will support AMD’s FSR2 and FidelityFX Contrast Adaptive Sharpening.
Deep Silver did not clarify what the phrase meant, however, it is most likely referring to Nvidia’s DLSS, which is not included in the technical specifications or FAQ.
While AMD’s FSR is nearly identical, it doesn’t make sense to just refer to Nvidia’s upscaling technology as “performance-boosting software.” Whatever the case, it appears that there is no DLSS support here.
Although it can support up to three players in co-op, Dead Island 2 won’t be cross-platform compatible. While using separate consoles (PS4/PS5, Xbox One/Xbox Series S|X), players on the same platform can still play together.
Cross-play and co-op will be covered in more detail later, according to Deep Silver. The game aims for 30 FPS on older systems and 60 FPS on current-gen consoles.
Although the game is a PC exclusive for the Epic Games Store, it is still one of the most eagerly awaited games for the year 2023.
Dead Island 2 can utilize temporal upscaling using AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR2) technology despite the demanding high and ultra settings.
Players can enable FSR and play at their intended resolution without suffering a drop in frame rate by setting the game to render at a lesser resolution.
The official Epic Games overview of Dead Island 2 states:
“A deadly virus is spreading across Los Angeles, turning inhabitants into zombies. Bitten, infected, but more than just immune, uncover the truth behind the outbreak and discover who -or what- you are. Pre-purchase now and get the Memories of Banoi!”
As this title is one of the most anticipated games to come out this year we will be sure to keep you up to date on any new developments.
