Elden Ring Patch 1.06 Finally Here

Elden-Ring-Patch-1

The Elden Ring patch brings with it some great new updates including making summoning easier and adding a new way to advance the quest of White Mask Varré

The new patch was released by Elden Ring developer FromSoftware on Tuesday the 9th of August and has brought with it a few updates that will be very helpful and might even make your game a little easier.

Thanks to the new patch You can now send summoning signs to additional places, even places you’re not currently in. Unfortunately, the summoning pools in Mohgwyn’s Palace are not included when sending a summoning sign to a “distant area”, although it is a mystery why they excluded this particular area.

Although you will obviously only be able to be summoned to areas you have already been to. You will also be able to invade a larger area, including regions you’re not currently in.

Killing a recently added NPC is another new option to advance the White Mask Varre’s questline. This is because the means of completing Varre’s quest required players to go online – this offers an offline option. You may have to figure out where the NPC you must kill is though because the patch notes don’t make it clear.

Additionally, a great deal of balancing adjustments and bug fixes have been made, which will shorten the period of time before you can roll after a Greatsword, Curved Greatsword, or Great Hammer Attack.

They have also “decreased the travel distance and individuality frames of Ash of War “bloodhound Step” while adding reduced performance when used continuously and increased travel distance when on light equip load”.

Additionally, the damage and bleed build-up of weapon skill “corpse plier” when hit with blood attack has been decreased, but when hit by the blade, the damage is decreased but only slightly.

Another handy fix is that they have shortened the activation interval when using the “Quick step” skill in succession, increasing its ability to circle around the enemy when locked-on.

They have now also added the “error” text to any unauthorized items as well as many other smaller bug fixes which can be found here.

With so many bug fixes and even a few significant in-game improvements, it is easy to see why the Elden Ring community appears pleased with all the various new changes.
