Final Fantasy XIV Gets Cookbook

It seems an official Final Fantasy XIV Cookbook is set for release in November this year.

This “recipe Book” has yet to be formally revealed, but it was discovered online by industry insider Wario64, who discovered the hardback book on Simon & Schuster’s website and took a screenshot.

The book which is based on the culinary experiences found in Final Fantasy XIV is set to go on sale officially on the 9th of November 2021. Since the screenshot was captured the book’s listing has been changed to “Licensed Video Game Cookbook”.

The book will cost around $35 and will feature a foreword written by game director Naoki Yoshida. The book is expected to have around 192 pages and more than 70 recipes with step-by-step instructions and “mouth-Watering” photography to accompany the recipes. Before it was taken down from the internet, the product description said:

“Featuring favorite flavors from around Hydaelyn and Norvrandt and easy-to-follow instructions, this tome provides numerous tips on how to make the most of your ingredients.” The description also stated: “Start your day with Farmer’s breakfast, a very famous and simple-yet-delightful dish; savor the Knight’s Bread of Coerthas; dive into La Noscea’s Rolanberry Cheesecake, and many more.”

It is yet unclear what recipes the book might contain but fans will surely be hoping for such classics as Dagger soup, Alligator salad, Mist Spinach Quiche, Boiled Egg, and Crimson Cider.

Final Fantasy XIV Gets Cookbook

This is not the first cookbook from a game series with the Destiny Cookbook being released this time last year featuring 192 pages of recipes to “Craft mouth-watering food from Eva Levante diverse list of recipes inspired by the game’s unique world.”

Square Enix has shown that they are not afraid to expand their product base and attempt new things. with the recent announcement of Resident Evil 7 remake phone chargers.

Final Fantasy XIV is an exceedingly popular game with its concurrent player record being broken last week on Steam. The game is an MMORPG by Square Enix that takes place in Eorzea, five years after the events of the original 2010 release. Final Fantasy XIV received mostly positive reviews, with critics praising the game’s solid gameplay and growth, as well as Yoshida’s turnaround of the project.

This cookbook will undoubtedly be well received by fans, as many of them immerse themselves in the game, and having real-life foods to try is the logical next step in that immersion.

We will be sure to keep you up to date if and when an official announcement is made from Square Enix regarding this exciting new cookbook.
