“I’m very excited about it”, it seems like there are big things on the horizon for them
Swen Vincke, CEO of Larian, has given us an update on what’s coming next for the Belgian game developer. He said that he’s really looking forward to “push many boundaries” with their next big game. No more details have been shared yet, but he’s definitely looking forward to it.
Baldur’s Gate 3 got a nomination at the Game Awards earlier this week, and Vincke said he’s really excited about it.
In a response to a fan, he also stated that the idea of being a big studio, likened to “Goliath,” scared the team, but “in a good way.” And, while Larian Studios now has a truly global audience, there are likely to be even higher expectations in the future.
Whatever the next project is, it’s probably a long way off at this point. And the team is clearly still focused on BG3, including the upcoming Xbox release, which we may hear about this week.
