Free Games From Bethesda Now Available On Steam

Free-Games-From-Bethesda-Now-Available-On-Steam

As Bethesda prepares to shut down its PC Games launcher application this week, its games are making their way over to Steam with some of them being free.

Bethesda stated that its proprietary PC game launcher would be shut down, and that affected games would be moved back to Steam. As part of this process, Bethesda has begun moving games over to Steam and all users can download them regardless of if you have owned them previously or not.

There have been five titles added to the steam library so far and three of them are totally free these include:

The Elder Scrolls: Arena
  • The Elder Scrolls: Arena
  • The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall
  • Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory

The other two titles are somewhat obscure and are both from the Elder Scrolls universe namely:

The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard
  • The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard
  • An Elder Scrolls Legend: Battlespire

Although these games are not free they are only going for R90 each so all in all a bargain for fans of the Elder Scrolls universe.

Bethesda made no point of mentioning if the free games were intentional or a mistake but I would suggest grabbing them as soon as you can before they decide it is a mistake.

The Bethesda Launcher and store will be taken down permanently on the 11th of May. Bethesda will allow gamers to migrate all of their games and wallet funds to Steam starting on the 27th of April.

There wasn’t much more information offered, so you’ll have to go check out the Steam app to see if any new games are available for free or not, but we’ll keep our ears to the ground on this matter and keep our readers up to date as much as possible.
