A new limited-time mode is available during the Uprising Collection Event

Kill Code, an Apex Legends animated web series, released its final episode earlier this week, revealing that an army of Revenant clones is currently on the loose. But it appears that Kill Code’s story is far from over, as developer Respawn Entertainment has just announced a new in-game event that expands on the aftermath of the game’s explosive final episode and includes tons of new content for players to enjoy, such as a never-before-seen 30v30 limited-time mode, a mysterious playable “cinematic event,” and a Prestige Skin for Loba.

The Uprising Collection Event, which will feature a new set of 24 premium cosmetic items, will go live on December 5. Players who complete all of them will receive Loba’s new Apex Lycanthrope Prestige Skin.

However, the Uprising Collection Event is unlike any other Collection Event before it; according to the event trailer, players who join the event during the first hour it is live will gain access to “a cinematic experience that introduces [them] to the final battle of Kill Code–the one [they’re] about to take part in.” It’s unclear what this means, but one thing is certain: Apex’s legends are no longer playing a game; they’re going to war.

This war will be fought in the new Revenant Uprising LTM, a 30v30 mode in which players can choose a side in the battle. Players can fight for the good guys as one of the game’s legends, or they can join Revenant and the army of clones he unleashed in the final episode of Kill Code.

Players on the legend squad will fight to survive and reach the Evac Point, while players in Revenant’s Army will do everything they can to ensure the legends do not survive. A player-controlled Red-Eyed Revenant will lead Revenant’s Army and spawn with high-tier loot. Though the legend squad may have the upper hand at first, any squads that are wiped will respawn as members of Revenant’s Army, making the remaining legends easily outnumbered and overwhelmed.

The Revenant Army

The in-game cinematic experience will be available only on December 5 from 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET to 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET, and there’s no telling what it will entail, so Apex lorehounds won’t want to miss it. Because of the event’s length, players will have access to multiple weekly free reward tracks rather than just one.

The Revenant Uprising LTM will only be available on weekends after the first week of the event, and Respawn’s recent blog post suggests it may only be available for an hour at a time, though this likely refers only to the aforementioned “cinematic experience,” not the game mode itself. Regardless, Respawn has provided the following availability schedule for the new LTM:

  • December 5 – 11: 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET to 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET
  • December 15 – 18: 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET to 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET
  • December 22 – 25: 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET to 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET
  • December 29 – January 1: 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET to 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET

Surprisingly, the Revenant Uprising Collection Event appears to be replacing Apex’s usual holiday-themed Winter Express LTM, though it’s possible that Winter Express will be available during the week and Revenant Uprising will be available on weekends. However, one thing is certain: Revenant will undoubtedly end up on the Naughty List this year.

The Uprising Collection Event kicks off on Tuesday, December 5 at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET and runs through January 1 at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET.
