Join The Fight For Ocean Conservation With Skull And Bones' Waves Of Change Charity Event

Play for a Purpose

Ubisoft has unveiled an exciting new initiative with Skull and Bones, inviting players to embark on a virtual adventure to help save real-life oceans. The “Waves of Change” in-game charity event is now live and will continue until March 31. Throughout the event, Ubisoft aims to raise €300,000 ($325,000 USD) in support of the Oceana. charity’s mission for ocean conservation, protection, and restoration.

All Skull and Bones players, including those enjoying the free trial, are automatically enrolled in the event. By taking down Skirmisher and Headhunter enemies, or challenging the notorious Philippe La Peste, players contribute to the collective progress pool. The ongoing progress towards the donation target will be visibly tracked on a dedicated website.

As a token of appreciation, participants will receive the exclusive Pioneer set—a cosmetic reward for their invaluable contribution to the cause.

This initiative marks Ubisoft’s continued commitment to the Playing for the Planet Alliance, an alliance dedicated to encouraging video game companies to minimize their environmental impact and advocate for global environmental awareness and education. In a previous bold move in 2021, Ubisoft set ablaze the forests within one of its games to spotlight the urgency of climate change.

“By leveraging the immersive power of games, we aim to raise awareness and mobilize action on environmental issues. With Waves of Change, we’re thrilled to empower Skull and Bones players to support Oceana’s crucial efforts in preserving our precious oceans,” expressed Neven Dravinski, Senior Producer of Skull and Bones at Ubisoft.
