Sadly amidst the deadly Coronavirus Pandemic, Japan is on lockdown to prevent the spread of the virus and as a result many school kids will lose out on events that shape their lives. One of these events is their graduation which takes place in late March as that is the end of the school year in Japan. One group of elementary school kids however have come up with a novel way to host their graduation without leaving their homes. They have decided to host their own Minecraft graduation.
This little ceremony was brought to light by a Japanese twitter user called @backyennew tweeting about his son and his classmates. He wrote “They spent all day online together playing games and laughing. I’m glad they all had fun”.
Here is the YouTube video for you to join in their little ceremony too.
The kids had help from a youtuber who helped build and create the hall for their Minecraft graduation.
This is that cute awe factor article we needed today to help chase away the blues, if just for a second.
