Lies Of P is being developed by Round8 Studio and Published by Neowiz. The game has no set release date yet but is mandated to be released in early 2023.
Neowiz has released a story trailer that showcases the dark and creepy nature of the game. The trailer shows Pinocchio as more of a half-mechanoid half-man than the traditional wooden puppet we are used to seeing.
The Lies of P will be an ARPG story about Pinocchio in a city called Krat which is overwhelmed by madness and bloodlust. You wake up to a note that says: “Find Mr. Geppetto. He’s here in the city” which will spark the beginning of your journey through this “dark Belle Epoque world. You’ll take on the role of Pinocchio and must overcome every obstacle in your way to find this mystery person. In order to become human, you will need to lie to people along the way.
The visual look of the game is inspired by the Belle Epoque era in Europe in the late 19th to early 20th century and gives off a dark but elegant vibe. Your choices will affect how the story ends and you will need to lie your way skillfully to get through the game.
There is a weapons-making system in the game where you can combine weapons in a multitude of ways to create something new completely.
There is also a special skill system in play where you can change parts of Pinocchio’s body to gain new skills and give you an edge in combat, but you can also improve other parts of him to provide several unique and useful features.

The trailer showcases some brutal combat scenes with various weapons that can be forged and various menacing and creepy enemies. The ambiance is gloomy and mysterious, with lonely deserted streets, abandoned mansions, and 19th-century architectural structures.
