Version 1.002 Introduces Exciting Features and Enhancements
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has just received a significant update, labeled version 1.002, bringing a plethora of new content and features to the game, including the highly anticipated New Game Plus mode. Here’s a breakdown of everything included in the update.
The highlight of the update is the introduction of New Game Plus, allowing players to carry over their progression while unlocking a range of exciting new features. Ultimate Levels raise the base game’s level cap, offering players the opportunity to earn new story symbiote suit styles, exclusive golden looks for gadgets, and a shared Suit Tech fusion slot. Additionally, completionists can strive for a new trophy available exclusively in New Game Plus.
In addition to New Game Plus, the base game receives a host of enhancements. Players now have the freedom to replay any mission at their leisure, adjust the time of day as desired, and customize the color of their symbiote’s tendrils. Photo mode receives upgrades, and four new suits are introduced, including two Hellfire Gala-inspired designs included in the base game and the Fly N’ Fresh https://twitter.com/insomniacgames/status/1765868328214753744 suits available for purchase, with proceeds benefiting the charity Gameheads. These suits will later become available for free.

Insomniac emphasizes that the major update is delivered in two parts, requiring both updates to be installed for full access to the new features. If the update does not automatically install, players can manually check for updates from the main menu.
However, Insomniac has acknowledged a potential bug introduced by the update, allowing unintended access to a development menu within the game.
