This much anticipated Action RPG is set to be released next month and Square Enix has graced us with the final Trailer along with the Demo release date and more.

NEO: The World Ends With you is an upcoming single-player, Action RPG by Square Enix that is set to be released on the 27th of July. The game will be launched on the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch first, followed by Microsoft Windows later this year.

Unlike the first in the series , NEO:The World Ends With You will be fully 3D and players will be able to control multiple characters at once during combat and attack opponents with “psych” abilities granted by items called “pins”.

Square Enix has released the “final trailer” in a tweet that also includes information about the Demo, which will be accessible on the 25th of June.

The final trailer for NEO: The World Ends With You teases new characters, gameplay mechanics, and a plot that could see the end of Shibuya!

The official overview of the game states:Rindo comes to the grim realization that his life is on the line when he is forced to compete in the so-called “Reapers’ Game.” There’s no telling how this tale will unfold—but it’s up to you to find out! Put your psychic prowess to the test as you duke it out on the stylishly animated streets of Shibuya. NEO: The World Ends with You combines a striking, anime-style Shibuya with fast-paced gameplay, an amped-up soundtrack from composer Takeharu Ishimoto (THRILL Inc.), and an intriguing story to create an unforgettable experience. Players can explore and enjoy the sights, sounds, and culture of this bustling city, fight monsters alongside their allies in flashy battles, and complete missions as they learn more about the “Reapers’ Game” and fight to change the fate they’ve been handed.”

Returning staff for the game include Tetsuya Nomura as creative producer and character designer, Gen Kobayashi as character designer, and Hiroyuki Itou who was game designer in the original but now returns as game director. The original composer for the game Takeharu Ishimoto while no longer a full-time employee of Square Enix will be composing the music for the sequel.
