Coming to Switch “soon” In Upcoming ‘Adventures’ Update
Just when we thought we were free of the unrelenting pull of Vampire Survivors, developer Poncle makes an announcement that makes us want to grab our Garlic and dive back into the bullet-hell roguelike. A new ‘Adventures’ update is on the way, according to the announcement. That’s right, there will be a story mode.
Now, let’s get some things straight right away. The update for Switch currently has no release date, with the reveal trailer stating that it will arrive “soon.” However, it will be available on PC and Xbox on December 6th, so if that’s the primary way you play, you’re in luck.
Another thing to note is that we don’t know much about what this new mode has in store for us right now. The announcement tweet teases “Self-contained, miniature story modes that reset & remix the game’s content,” and the attached video shows some of the stories on offer, but that’s all there is to it…
…At least, until Day of the Devs (on December 8th), when Poncle has statedΒ that more information will be revealed.
The stories appear to focus on a different member of the ‘Survivors’ troop, with later adventures available through the game’s DLC. It’s worth watching the above tease all the way to the end for a hint of something live-action. What does this imply?
We’ll be thinking about these questions and more until Day of the Devs, when hopefully some light will be shed on what the upcoming update means for Switch.
