Most of us are aware of the Protest action that is ongoing in the U.S. at the moment following the police brutality against George Floyd on the 25th of May who then eventually succumbed to his injuries in hospital.
Well, it seems Activision has acted in Solidarity to this cause and has delayed the rollout of Call Of Duty content for Modern Warfare, Warzone, and Call Of Duty: Mobile.
In a statement on Twitter Activision said “While we all look forward to playing the new seasons of Modern Warfare, Warzone and Call of Duty: Mobile, now is not the time. We are moving the launches of Modern Warfare Season 4 and Call of Duty: Mobile Season 7 to later dates.”
They are not the only ones who have acted in Solidarity though, Sony has also announced it will delay a planned Playstation 5 event until further notice and even Electronic Arts has delayed its Madden NFL 21 announcement.
We feel that this move shows real heart as it is up to everyone to stand up for what is right and if that means some of our games are a little delayed then so be it.
