Nier Reincarnation Is Ending, But First, There Will Be More Content

Up until the very end, more characters and content will be added

Square Enix has revealed that Nier Reincarnation’s final chapter will debut on March 28, with the game slated to cease operations on April 29.

“We regret to inform you that NieR Re[in]carnation will be ending service with the conclusion of The People and the World,” Square Enix stated. Nevertheless, the company assured players that additional content, characters, events, and campaigns will be rolled out until the game’s closure.

The Premium Shop has been discontinued, along with the option to purchase items using real-world currency. Consequently, Square Enix will be making adjustments to reward and drop parameters. For instance, upon clearing five quests, players will now earn 100 skip tickets instead of 50. Additionally, both story and dungeon quests will have their stamina requirements halved, while the drop rate will increase tenfold.

Nier Reincarnation, which debuted in 2021 for iOS and Android, is concluding its mobile gaming journey after 2.5 years. However, there has been no indication as to whether the game will be ported to other platforms. This comes at a time when the Nier series has been experiencing heightened popularity with the releases of Nier: Automata and NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139
