Nvidia has announced two new cards launching in June, the RTX 3080 Ti and the RTX 3070 Ti
Nvidia has recently unveiled two new GPUs that they will be launching in June. These two cards are the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti and the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti.
The GeForce RTX 3070 Ti will launch on the 10th of June and will feature 1.5x more performance than the previous RTX 3070 card and will include 8GB of GDDR6x memory. This card will sell for about $599/ R8,250.

The GeForce RTX 3080 Ti will be launched on the 3rd of June and will include 12GB pf GDDR6x memory which is a 2GB increase from the previous RTX 3080 card. Nvidia claims that this new card will be the flagship of the series. On the exterior, the card looks the same, and the design hasn’t changed; just the inside of the card has been updated It contains 80 GPU clusters against 82 for the RTX 3090, however it consumes the same amount of power and has slightly less bandwidth. This card will retail for $1,199/R16 485.

Both these cards will support Nvidia’s ray tracing and DLSS technologies and will both include a hash limit for Ethereum cryptocurrency mining. Nvidia implemented this earlier this month in an attempt to make the cards less valuable to those who want to use them to mine Ethereum.
These GPUs will be difficult to come by due to a global chip shortage that has pushed up the pricing of the RTX 30 series. Despite this, demand for the cards is at an all-time high, and Nvidia predicts a shortage of graphics cards until the “second half of the year.”
The RTX 3080 Ti requires the same amount of power as the RTX 3090. A 750-watt power source is required, and the card can draw up to 350 watts. The RTX 3080 uses less power than the RTX 3090, drawing up to 320 watts. The 3080 Ti, like the RTX 3080 before it, employs Nvidia’s new 12-pin connection. Nvidia will include an adaptor for eight-pin cables in the box.
So, despite the fact that Nvidia has two new GPUs on offer, they will be difficult to come by and expensive if you do happen to get your hands on them. So we are left wanting something we can’t really have.
