The official Xbox site announced the news stating: “Attention, Outriders! We’re excited to announce that our hit sci-fi RPG shooter Outriders is launching for the Microsoft Store on Windows and with Game Pass for PC and Ultimate on October 19!”
Outriders is an online-only cooperative action-role-playing third-person game for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Stadia that was launched on the 1st of April this year.
Previously only available on Steam for PC users Outriders will now be available on the Microsoft store through Xbox Game Pass from today on.
If you’ve been playing “People May Fly’s” action game on Steam, you can now get a new patch that will allow you to play with people who are going through the Microsoft Store.

Outriders now supports Cross-Play, which allows you to play with people who are using other platforms. That means you’ll be able to play multiplayer sessions with gamers on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and other platforms if you play Outriders on Windows. Cross-Play can be activated or disabled in the options menu according to your preferences.
Outriders were so successful that it drew over 3.5 million players from all around the world in its first month.
Outriders is described as a “brutal and bloody combat that combines frenetic gunplay, violent powers, and deep RPG systems to create a true genre hybrid.”
The game is a 1-3 player co-op RPG shooter set in a dark desperate sci-fi universe.

The official steam overview states: “As mankind bleeds out in the trenches of Enoch, you’ll create your own Outrider and embark on a journey across the hostile planet. With rich storytelling spanning a diverse world, you’ll leave behind the slums and shanty towns of the First City and traverse forests, mountains, and deserts in the pursuit of a mysterious signal. Combining intense gunplay with violent powers and an arsenal of increasingly twisted weaponry and gear-sets, OUTRIDERS offers countless hours of gameplay from one of the finest shooter developers in the industry – People Can Fly.”
Outrider fans who have been waiting for this game to arrive on the subscription service, as well as those who have Game Pass and are anxious to try it out, will be pleased with this news.
