The lineup for Nintendo Switch this year has been a little sparse, but that will change with the release of the new Paper Mario: The Origami King on the 17th of July this year.
Paper Mario: The Origami King will pit Mario against a new folding enemy known as King Olly. He has been going around folding things up including Princess Peach and it is up to Mario to save the day.
The Origami King looks to fit firmly in that classic Paper Mario style, complete with charming papercraft art and far too many puns.
In this adventure the kingdom has been ravaged by an origami menace! We join Mario and his new partner Olivia as they battle evil Folded Soldiers, repair the damaged landscape and as always save princess Peach.
After folding princess Peach, King Olly with five giant streamers under his control binds Princess peach’s Castle and transports it to a distant mountain as part of his plan to re-fold the entire world.
It turns out King Olly has a sister, Olivia, and Mario joins forces with her to stop Olly’s origami onslaught.
You will battle the folded soldiers in ring-based battles that will challenge you to strategically line up your enemies to maximize damage.
