The Sony PlayStation State Of Play June 2022 event happened this weekend and here are the announcements that were made.
The news announced in the State Of Play included new titles and confirmation of titles and we even learned about a few remakes and sequels coming soon.
Although the Game of this year’s presentation was supposed to be on virtual reality and third-party support, Sony managed to smuggle in some first-party news regarding Marvel’s Spider-Man, which is said to be coming to PC soon.
Some of the most exciting news came from the world of Resident Evil, this news included the much anticipated Resident Evil 4 Remake. The news included a teaser trailer for the remake as well as a set release date of the 24th of March 2023 and that the game will be coming to PS5, PC, Xbox Series X/S.

Resident Evil will also be making its way to PlayStation VR2 which is a terrifying and enticing prospect. This will be the full version of the game, with new techniques such as swapping weapons in your hands and attacking foes by physically raising your arms.
Street Fighter 6:
Capcom officially revealed Street Fighter 6 at the State Of Play with an announcement trailer. Along with the trailer came the release date of 2023 and the platforms it will be available on will be PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Final Fantasy XVI:
Another major announcement came from Square Enix that announced the much-anticipated Final Fantasy 16. We now have a rough release date of 2023 and were graced with a gameplay trailer.
We also found out that some iconic characters will be making a comeback including Odin, Pheonix, Shiva, and Clive Rosfield of course along with many more.

Horizon Call Of The Mountain:
Horizon Call Of The Mountain was also announced, along with a tentative release date. The PS VR2 game will be set in the Horizon franchise’s post-apocalyptic universe. They also gave us an announcement trailer that showed off the complexities of the landscape, as well as the beauty of the flora and fauna in the game.

The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners chapter 2 will bring back the physics of the original with enhanced visuals and all-new powerful and unique weapons. The game will be released in late 2022 on PC, PS VR, PS VR2, Oculus Rift, Oculus Quest, and Oculus Quest 2.

Another game coming this year is The Callisto Protocol. It will be released on the 2nd of December this year and will be released for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The game is a brutal third-person horror survival game that is being developed by the makers of Dead Space.

Eternights:
Eternights is a Persona-inspired dating simulator and action role-playing game. When you’re not out on dates with your friends, you’ll be exploring dungeons and fighting nasty monsters to save the world from collapsing. The game will be released in early 2023 on PC, PS4, and PS5.

Stray:
The much-anticipated feline-centered game Stray will be released on the 19th of July and will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, and PS Plus EXTRA AND Premium. The game is centred around the premise that you play as a stray cat as you go through your day exploring and doing cat things while meeting interesting NPC’S.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered & Miles Morales for PC
Another Major reveal was the Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered & Miles Morales For PC. The release date on this will be the 12th of August this year for PC. Both games are highly regarded and anticipated by fans. There will also be some improvements, such as mouse and keyboard compatibility,
configurable render settings, ray-traced reflections, and more, according to the PlayStation Blog.

No Mans Sky will be coming to PS VR2 according to State Of Play on a date that is still to be announced. The game is already available on PS VR and the developers are working on adapting and optimizing the game for PS VR2.

Finally, we have Season: A letter to the future which will be released in Autumn this year on PC, PS4, and PS5. The game was first unveiled for PS5 at the 2020 Game Awards and is a coming of age story in which you play as Estella, a young woman determined to catch the Season of life before it ends.
