Trainers are getting a sneak peek of the first Gen IX event this month through the global launch of the Paldean Adventure event in Pokémon GO.

A Paldean Adventure is the Season-long Special Research for the Adventures Abound Season.

It started on the 5th of September and runs till Sunday the 10th of September 2023.

With the worldwide launch of the Paldean Adventure event in Pokemon GO, trainers are now getting the chance to explore all that the first Gen IX event this month has to offer.

This event introduces not only all the Paldea Starters (Sprigatito, Quaxly, Fuecoco) and their evolutions but also other Gen IX Pocket Monsters like Lechonk and Oinkologne. As part of the festivities, players can engage in event-themed Field Research tasks and Collection Challenges.

The event presents a variety of Collection Challenges, raid chances, bonuses, and Research tasks to accomplish. Players have the option to engage in Field Research and Timed Research separately to earn distinct rewards.

Pokémon Go: Special Research Tasks in “A Paldean Adventure”:

As soon as you log in during A Paldean Adventure, you have access to this Special Research. From that point on, the quest line has no time restrictions, so you can complete it at your own pace.

Make a sensible choice, just as you would in the regular game while selecting one of the Paldean starter Pokémon after the first step, as this will affect the rest of the tasks and your rewards.

The A Paldean Adventure event will be ongoing until 10th September. Following this, the Ultra Unlock: Paldea event will commence, introducing a new wave of Generation 9 Pokémon into Pokémon Go!

Sprigatito

Before this happens though you should spend some time catching the first wave of new Gen 9 Pokémon.

The first wave of new Pokémon includes:

  • Sprigatito
  • Floragato
  • Meowscarada (Floragato’s evolved form) (can be evolved using sprigatito Candy).
  • Fuecoco
  • Crocalor (Fuecoco’s evolved form) (evolve using 25 Fuecoco Candy)
  • Skeledirge (evolved form of Crocalor) (evolve using 100 Fuecoco Candy)
  • Quaxly
  • Quaxwell (Quaxly’s evolved form) (evolve using 25 Quaxly Candy)
  • Quaquaval (Quaxwell’s evolved form) (evolve using 100 Quaxly Candy)
  • Lechonk
  • Oinkologne (Lechonk’s evolved form) (evolve using 50 Lechonk Candy)

The Pokémon you can expect to be roaming around more frequently during the event will be:

Four of the Pokémon you can expect to be roaming around during the event.
  • Hoppip
  • Houndour
  • Buizel
  • Fletchling
  • Sprigatito
  • Fuecoco
  • Quaxly
  • Lechonk

The chances of encountering shiny versions of Hoppip, Houndour, Buizel, and Fletchling will also be increased during this event. If you’ve been hoping to add these shiny variants to your collection, this is the perfect opportunity to actively search for them.

Furthermore, you’ll have the chance to feature Lechonk in PokéStop Showcases as part of the event. Lechonk’s Adventure Timed Research quest consists of a single step containing multiple tasks.

This research quest is centered around the Pokémon GO debut of Lechonk and has the potential to reward a Shiny Lechonk upon successful completion.

Lechonk

Players can also enjoy various event-exclusive bonuses, including quadruple XP and quadruple Stardust for capturing Pokémon.

Some PokéStops will transform into golden ones without requiring the use of the Golden Lure Module, although they won’t generate any Roaming Form Gimmighouls.

Gimmighoul

Even in the absence of Roaming Form Gimmighouls, players can still accumulate Gimmighoul Coins by spinning these golden PokéStops.

You can access Pokémon GO on both iOS and Android mobile devices right now.

Rest assured, we will soon provide a comprehensive guide covering this event, along with detailed instructions on all the tasks and steps involved.
