Pokémon has officially launched a global Beta for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Live
Pokémon Trading Card Game Live (also called Pokémon TCG Live) is the successor to Pokémon Trading Card Game Online and is a free-to-play digital version of the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
The game was supposed to be published last November, but it was delayed for a year.
On the anniversary of the game’s launch, Pokémon Live has now opened its doors worldwide so anyone can download it.
The beta is now available globally after limited Beta’s were made available on the 22nd of February. On the 24th of May, the limited beta became available on all platforms in Canada and Mexico along with cross-platform play. On the 19th of July, it was expanded to Australia and New Zealand. The global beta was released on the 15th of November allowing anyone to try it out.
A completely redesigned app for the game will be available and support iOS, Android, Mac, and Windows PC, enabling crossplay matchmaking across all four platforms.
The game is also said to feature an improved interface, character customization, battle passes, exclusive events, daily quests, and more.
A better user interface, character customization, battle passes, unique events, daily missions, and more are all reportedly included in the game as well.
The new app will also allow Pokémon Online players to transfer their collections and resources, though it’s a one-way trip. There is no going back once cards and items are transferred to Pokémon Live. After Pokémon Live is fully launched, Pokémon Online will be retired.
This beta will last for an unspecified amount of time so there is no hurry to transfer your cards if you’re not ready for that yet.
