Following the success of the Resident Evil 2 boardgame Steamforged Games will be making a Boardgame version of Resident Evil 3.

For obvious reasons surrounding the COVID-19 Pandemic and most of us not leaving our homes, the sale of boardgames has plummeted. As such this move comes as no surprise as a marketing tactic for the developer.

Mat Hart, Creative Director and co-founder of Steamforged Games, said:

“It’s a privilege and an honor to be working with Capcom once again to bring the horrors of Raccoon City to the tabletop.”

The “Kickstarter” game will be a cooperative survival horror game for up to 4 players. It can be played as either short scenarios or a much longer campaign lasting in excess of 19 hours.

All the main characters will be present and playable as you attempt to escape Raccoon City in the midst of a T-virus outbreak.

The Danger level in the city will continue to rise as well as the number of undead monsters.

Your resource management skills will be vital here as you make every decision a meaningful and calculated one.

The boardgame will launch on Kickstarter on 28 April 2020.

Along with a whole lot of plastic miniatures, we are anticipating one very fun game to bring people together again once this Pandemic has passed us by and we can once again gather with our loved ones.
