Star Citizen offers over 220 ships for a small fortune…
Star Citizen has a spaceship bundle that costs $48,000.
Star Citizen has received its annual ‘Legatus Ship Pack’ for 2023, as first reported by TweakTown What makes a bundle for a spacefaring MMO so noteworthy, you ask? Why, we answer, only because it costs a whopping $48,888.
You may be wondering what this small fortune would buy you in the massively multiplayer game Star Citizen. It includes 221 ships, as well as paints, concepts, ship hulls, clothes, posters, and models, as well as everything ever released in Star Citizen at the time the pack was released.
This is why the Legatus Ship Pack becomes more expensive with each passing year – more items are added to it, making it larger and larger. The 2023 ship pack, for example, would include all ships and hulls released up to and including 2023, whereas the 2022 pack would not include anything released in the previous 12 months.
It’s worth noting that the price of the Legatus Ship Pack has actually risen significantly in the last year. The pack cost $40,000 in 2021, rising to $42,000 the following year in 2022. Nobody knows why the pack has risen to $48,000, but it’s likely due to the amount of new content released in Star Citizen over the last year.
It’s completely insane, and we’re not sure whether anyone actually buys the Legatus Ship Pack. To make monetary sense (which it doesn’t in the first place), you’d have to have never purchased anything in Star Citizen before, right? We’re just scratching our heads over this ridiculous price tag.
