An upcoming “Waterworld” themed survival game that will have you hooked.
Explore this sunken waterlogged world scattered with a few islands here and there in the new upcoming survival game Sunkenland.
The game is under development by Vector 3 Studio and is said to be inspired by the 1995 Kevin Costner movie “Waterworld”.
It is expected that Vector3 will release the game into Early Access in the Summer of 2023.
You’ll be able to craft and survive in cooperative or single-player mode, diving beneath the waves to scavenge for materials. You’ll also have to fend off mutants and pirates and trade with friendly settlers.
The official SteamStore Overview states:
“A Waterworld-themed survival game. Explore sunken cities, build your base, craft items, trade and fight pirates as you struggle to survive on an aquatic post-apocalypse world plagued by hunger and violence.”
Some features of the game include:
- Diving: Experience the sunken skyscrapers, the nuclear power plants, and the subway tunnel. Collect rare pre-apocalyptic items, find lost technologies, and gather resources. Build diving devices to make your underwater journey easier. Beware of the unknown dangers awaiting you in the depths of this planet.
- Base Building: Are you looking for an island penthouse or a stronghold by the water? In order to refresh yourself, craft items, grow plants, store loot, and stay protected, you need a solid base. With the help of our modular building system, you may design the perfect hideaway and decorate it with items you’ve collected on your travels.
- Base Defense: Protect your base from mutant and pirate factions. To protect your base, erect high walls, barbed wire, traps, a surveillance system, and artillery.
- Crafting: Construct anything you require, including vehicles, jet skis, weaponry, and even a helicopter. To create sophisticated products, you’ll need several workstations and blueprints.
- Survival: Get food, hunt sharks, cultivate plants, and control resources. Create warm clothing and herbal remedies to treat wounds. Because Sunkenland has few resources, make your base sustainable.
- Vehicles: Construct and improve a variety of vehicles, such as gyrocopters, jet skis, and sailboats. These will greatly improve the convenience of your exploration.
