The 17-year-old suspected hacker of the GTA6 material under development has been arrested and is awaiting trial in a youth detention centre

Over 90 Grand Theft Auto VI videos were posted online last week. The informant claims that Rockstar Games was hacked to get the data.

Numerous details about the game were leaked in the videos. These include the two protagonists, the setting, new mechanics, missions, and much more. It goes without saying that it was a historic leak in gaming history.

Rockstar has stated that there was a “network intrusion” that removed the material from its servers and then leaked it.

In its response to the leak, Rockstar Games said it didn’t anticipate it to have any long-term effects on the creation of GTA 6. They also said that it wasn’t an unimportant act either.

The alleged hacker has been apprehended and is accused of multiple counts of hacking. The 17-year-old appeared in court and reportedly pleaded guilty to violating bail conditions, but pleaded not guilty to “computer abuse.”

The hacker also claimed responsibility for the cyberattack on Uber, and Uber stated that they are collaborating with the FBI to look into the incident.

London police said last week that they had apprehended a suspect on suspicion of hacking. They haven’t elaborated or connected it to the Rockstar Games situation yet.

The teen is now believed to be part of the hacking group Lapsu$.

The teenager was one of seven people arrested on suspicion of hacking several well-known companies. Among them was Microsoft, who then bragged about it on the Internet.

The defendant first made an appearance before a specialist youth court in London. He entered a not guilty plea to internet abuse and a guilty plea to violating his release terms.

The judge has moved the case to a higher court where it will be heard at a later date.

Do note that Rockstar games haven’t been formally listed as one of the items the teen is accused of hacking as of yet.

As the case progresses, we will learn more details and bring the truth to light. We will quickly inform all of you, our loyal readers.
