Anacrusis is a Four-player co-op coming sometime this year and is being developed and published by Stray Bombay.
Anacrusis, the Left 4 Dead-inspired co-op shooter, promises retro, sci-fi, and alien shooting fun.
The official overview for the game states:
“The Anacrusis is a four-player, cooperative first-person shooter set aboard a massive starship stranded at the edge of explored space. Team up with your friends in an infinitely-replayable fight against alien hordes to unlock perks, weapons, and new ways to play that you can share with your team!”
In this game every aspect is controlled by the AI driver, it spawns every adversary, directs every boss, and places every gadget weapon and health kit.
The Anacrusis’ first season follows four unlikely survivors—Nessa, Guion, Liu, and Lance—who are unwilling soldiers in the battle to save humanity from the alien threat. Play more to learn more about the alien attack’s emerging mystery.
Some of the game’s features include:
- Never fighting the same battle twice.
- Fighting aliens using fantastical weapons eg: A stasis grenade, shield grenade, or laser rifle.
- Earn dozens of perks throughout the game.
- Try your best to survive the alien infestation.

Stray Bombay intends on releasing a portion of the content, just a few episodes at first, and after the official launch, players will receive a “release plan” for the remaining episodes.
The creators have also committed to providing “common mod support” to the community, with details on how such support will be provided to the community at a later date.

The Anacrusis will be available on day one on Xbox Game Pass for all those Xbox Game Pass subscribers.
This upcoming co-op shooter will be a fun mix of Sci-Fi and retro styling with swarms of enemies to shoot at while enjoying some quality time with your friends.
