The game is back on Steam, however, it came with another delay
Upcoming survival MMO The Day Before releases a brand-new trailer today, where they showcase some of the gameplay that players will be able to experience when the game launches. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the biggest news the team shared with us. Later on, after the trailer was released, the announcement came out that most of you probably expected to hear again.
The game was barely announced back then when issues regarding its development started taking place and it didn’t get better as development went on, there’s been constant development issues and delays.
At one point the game got removed from Steam due to a Trademark infraction as well. Fantastic’s latest announcement revealed that the game is back on Steam and that a new release day is in sight, they have confirmed that the game is due for release on the 7th of December.
It won’t be a full release, on the 7th of December the game will be released into Early Access. Fantastic said, “This is our first huge game and there may be unforeseen consequences. Full version release will happen when we are certain this is the best best for the game possible, and we believe that player feedback and involvement will greatly contribute to achieving this goal.”
We know the PC version is due for release on Steam on the 7th of December. However, during the announcement they didn’t mention anything about a console release date. So at the moment, we do not know when the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions are due for release.
What the developers did mention is that they plan on keeping the game in Early Access for six to eight months. With that knowledge, we can surmise that if the schedule sticks and they meet their expectations for the game’s full release we should be hearing about the console release date in the future months.
That’s all the information we have available at the moment. The Day Before will be released into Early Access on the 7th of December and cost $39 and when it moves to full release the game will cost $49.
