Embark Studios Enhances The Finals with Experimental Solo Game Mode, Skins, and Anti-Cheat Security Update

Embark Studios is set to release a substantial update for the multiplayer FPS, The Finals, on Wednesday, January 17. The update will feature a new and experimental limited-time solo game mode named Solo Bank It, where players compete individually to collect 40,000 Cash, adding an extra layer of strategy without the support of a squad.

The “limited time” nature of Solo Bank It mode remains unclear, but Embark Studios assures players that this experimental game mode will be bundled with version 1.5.0. The update also includes a major security fix aimed at addressing cheating issues in the community, although specific details about the anti-cheat and fair play measures are yet to be disclosed.

Accompanying the new game mode, players can expect a variety of fresh skins, as showcased in the trailer, enhancing the visual experience. The update also brings unspecified balancing changes, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements. The Finals, a competitive multiplayer FPS developed by former Battlefield developers, has garnered attention with its unique game show-inspired gameplay. Launched in December, the game achieved an impressive milestone of 10 million players within 15 days of release and is available for free on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
