According to Larian’s latest tweet, the next patch for Baldur’s Gate 3 will include a brand-new epilogue
Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 5 promises to be a big one, as have previous patches. Surprisingly, we may be getting some brand-new epilogue content, including a happy ending for Karlach.
Karlach is one of the best characters in Baldur’s Gate 3, but many fans have been disappointed by her lack of a happy ending when compared to the other members of this turn-based RPG game’s party.
However, according to the latest tweet from developer Larian Studios, this may be changing. Patch 5 could include an entirely new epilogue, allowing players to catch up with characters and their fates.
Is it possible that I’m reading too much into one tweet? Perhaps a little. “Withers’ Epilogue Party Extravaganza!” the tweet actually says. “You’re invited!” and so on. But it still sounds like we’re going to get a scene where we can tie up loose ends. Will it provide any new options? It’s unlikely; after all, that’s not the point of an epilogue. But I’d like to see the consequences of my decisions beyond the game’s current ending.
Patch 5 is now live for Baldur’s Gate 3!

The tweet also mentions reminiscing around the fire, implying that you will return to camp in the epilogue. You’ll probably then walk around, chatting, smooching, and hugging as needed
However, dead characters will not appear, so you will not be able to apologize to Lae’zel for allowing Shadowheart to kill her. And if you play as the Dark Urge, well, let’s just say there will be a lot of ghosts waiting for you.
I’m also assuming this is limited to companions or notable NPCs because otherwise, the camp will be extremely crowded. There is also likely to be some sort of time shift.
We’ll find out for sure later this week if Larian stays on track when Patch 5 is released.
