The moment everyone has been waiting for has arrived. We finally have a price for the new Xbox Series X.

The game of chicken between PlayStation and Xbox has finally ended as we now have a  price for the Xbox Series X. The price has been set as $499 in the U.S. and £429 in the U.K. which equates to between R8,300.00 and R9,200.00.

Not only do we have a price but we now also have a release date, as Pre-orders will open from the 22nd of September 2020. The Amazon store page is already up as well.

On the Xbox Site, they state:

“Xbox Series X, our most powerful console ever made, and Xbox Series S, next-generation performance in our smallest console ever built at a more affordable price, launch globally November 10, pre-orders start September 22.”

The Xbox Series S was announced earlier this week and its price is set to be a much lower $299 or  £249 so between R 4900.00 and R 5300.00.

As you are probably already aware Microsoft has made some bold claims as to the Xbox Series X’s specifications and capabilities, like being able to run most games at 4K resolutions and 60 fps framerates. Some games will even be able to go up to 8K resolutions and 120 fps. It will also reportedly have an extremely powerful SSD  which will reduce load times, and amazing ray tracing capabilities, which will deliver more realistic lighting effects.

If you pay $35 a month or +-R 580.00 you can get the Xbox Series X, along with many other benefits as well.
