Texas Chain Saw Massacre is getting a new map, killer, and victim
This month, fans of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre will have reason to rejoice, as a major update is on the way. Nancy’s House, a free new map, will be included in the update. Nancy is a new killer making her debut in the game, and there may be a new victim named Danny as well. The map is free, but the two new characters will be paid content, costing $9.99 each. All of this new content will be released at the same time as the game’s major new patch, which should address a variety of issues.
Gun Media has released a new trailer for the game’s content, which shows off the new map as well as the new characters. Danny, the new character, is seen in the trailer looking for his missing girlfriend. His search leads him to Nancy’s House, where the seemingly sweet old lady welcomes him and even offers him tea. Things quickly take a turn when the video shows a photo of Nancy with Cook, and the woman admits to being at least partially responsible for Danny’s girlfriend’s death. Danny attempts to flee by running out the front door after being bludgeoned with a hammer. Unfortunately, it appears that there is just as much horror outside as there is inside! The full trailer is available in the Tweet below.
Release Date for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre Update:
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre will receive a new update on November 28th. Nancy’s House is the game’s first significant free update since it launched in August. The game has mostly received bug fixes and paid content in the form of new skins since then. While some of the new content has been fairly high-profile (such as Nicotero Leatherface), it hasn’t piqued the interest of players as much as something substantial, such as a new map. Hopefully, the content will be worth the wait and will entice fans to return to the game.
Platforms for the Texas Chain Saw Massacre:
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The new update to the game will be available to players on all of these platforms. The game debuted on Xbox Game Pass and is also available through Xbox Cloud Gaming. Discounts for the game have been made available at a number of retailers as Black Friday approaches. In fact, the game is currently available at a 20% discount on the PlayStation Store, bringing it down to $31.99 from $39.99. That sale ends on November 28th at 2:59 a.m. ET, so those interested in taking advantage should act quickly!
