Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Set To Launch With Exciting Features And Key Art

Releasing on February 14 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered promises an enhanced gaming experience

The development team shared insights into their desire to revive Lara Croft’s initial three adventures in a recent PlayStation Blog post.

“We’ve always wanted to revisit these titles, but we always debated the right approach. For years, we worked through the right balance of preservation and modernization. And once we felt we nailed it, we got in touch with our friends at Crystal Dynamics,” explained Chris Bashaar, director of product at Aspyr.

Anticipated Features in Tomb Raider I-III Remastered:

  • Baked and real-time lighting effects
  • Graphics toggle
  • New models, environments, and enemies
  • Redesigned model for Lara Croft

Aspyr introduces a health bar for bosses, aiming to make challenging encounters less frustrating. Additionally, in-game items like health kits and ammo boast an improved 3D appearance, accompanied by numerous Trophies across the game versions.

“Our philosophy here was rather straightforward; we want the games to look the way they did in your mind. We knew we were on the right track in our early playtests because some playtesters didn’t even know they were playing with the modern art toggled on,” shared Chris Bashaar.

A feature-rich photo mode allows players to pause game play, position Lara strategically, switch between vintage and current visuals, highlight surroundings, and capture those epic moments.

Graphics have been enhanced in the remastered version of Tomb Raider.
